Biography The best Dj in the world. Dj Tiesto was born Breda, North Braband, Netherlands on January 17, 1969. His real name is Tijs Michiel Verwest. He is in the music since he was 12 years old. When he was 14, he deceided to spend more time on Djing and he stated Djing professionally. First times he was playing in school dances, and other unimportant occasions, but with time he started to playing in night clubs. While he was in highschool, he was working at night clubs untill late in the morning. Late 90's his fame started to shining. General Manager of Rotterdam based Basic Beat Recordings. Between 1996 and 1999 he released four albums. Then he met with an another Dj who is Dj Yves. They both left Basic Beat Recording, and they opened their own Production Company named Black Hole Recordings. He released so many important albums. Some famous albums he released are; Magik Series, In Trance We Trust, Songbird and In Search of Sunrise Series which is still alive. To show people the importnace of trance he joined his forces with another famous Dj, Dj Ferry Corsten. They released over 20 cd's. Then Tiesto had a chance play in one of the biggest club in Amsterdam for twelve hours non-stop. That was his longest lasting concert ever. With the begining of the 2000's, he left Corsten by himself and started making music for other invidual artists. He introduced Armin van Buuren and Johan Gielen with In Trance We Trust. Armin and Johan are in top dj's in the world. He went on tour around the world. He spent 19 days in United States, and 14 days in England. After his tour he started the In Search For The Sunrise, which made him so famous around the world. He already had 5 albums of "In Search For The Sunrise". The last one came out The Summer of 2008. The name of this album is "In Search For The Sunrise: Asia".
Tiesto got so many fans after his first 6 albums and his fame got bigger everyday, so they picked him to produce 2003-2004 Olympics Music for the opening day. People had a blast at The Olympic Games Opening Ceremony with Tiesto. He made the song called "Just Be" for this event. After his amazing performance in Olympics, Tiesto began to be a international star. People showed him as the best Dj in the world, and also he helped a lot to trance music to grow. Now, trance music has lots of fans, and Dj Tiesto is the biggest reason to that. With this fame many strong companies used Tiesto songs in their commercials. For my opinion, Dj Tiesto's musci style is so important, because him and Ferry Corsten are the inventors of techno trance music style. They helped a lot make it better and global, and they reached their goals. There are lots of techno trance Dj's, but none of them are like Tiesto. Tiesto music and rhytm picks are so different than others. He keeps his rhytm slow instead of other Dj's, and he is trying to give spirit to people with his songs.
